It has been awhile since the last update so we have plenty to talk about;
The Rosedales are mentioned in a brand new novel that hit the stores today! The book is called Generation Dead and it is written by Daniel Waters. Not only is Daniel a talented writer, he is also a huge fan of The Rosedales. We are thankful to him for writing The Rosedales as Phoebe's, one of the main characters, favorite band. We wish nothing but success for Daniel and his journey with Generation Dead...and maybe if the stars and planets align, he will be making Generation Dead the movie!

Word around town has it that there is a new Rosedales album coming out soon. We originally stated that the album was coming out in late March....looks like it might be more like April-ish..Sorry Fiends, you will not be dissapointed!

In October, The Rosedales are playing the House of Blues in Chicago on Friday the 13th! We are sharing the stage with Shotgun Elvis and Bad Fish (Sublime Tribute). Last time Bad Fish played the House of Blues, it sold out. To insure you get a ticket, we have only 100 tickets to sell at the low price of $20. You can get them through our website via paypal. Thanks to everyone that came out to Angelo's in Indiana this past Friday. It was a great time....you guys are crazy out there! Despite being short one Johnny Krypt, we still put on a great show. We are taking the month of July off to work on the writing/recording process but we will be back in August playing two shows. The World Horror Network has just released a compilation called, "The Horror Of It All". This is a Two Disc compilation with a ton of great bands. Our latest song, "Nightgown" is the second track on disc one. We are moving up in the world!

Well the Rosedales have made it onto another awesome horror compilation! Horror High Presents: Prom Queen Massacre. This compilation features some of the best bands in the business...I mean, horror business! Horror High is also putting together an incredible contest. They will be giving away two grand prizes for the street team who promotes the compilation the best. As of right now each of the 2 prize packages includes - 1 full size Coffin Case (courtesy of CoffinCase), 1 XBOX 360 (Yes, a real XBOX!), various cd's and t-Shirts. The Rosedales have two shows at the end of this month. The first one is on Saturday, January 28th at The Penny Road Pub in Barrington. We are playing with local legends Supermercado and The Pimps. This will be one hell of a show...get there early! A couple days later we return to the world famous Double Door for our first headlining show. Happy New Year!
The Rosedales had a great 2005 and look forward to a successful 2006. We were on "This is Horror Punk II" which was distributed on Fiend Force Records. Also, we released "Nightgown" as the first single from our upcoming album. Of the countless shows played in 2005, none was more memorable than the last Nite Caps show. We played to a packed house and all of the money made at the door and on merch was dontated to the Ojibwa tribe at the Turtle Mountain Indian Reservation in North Dakota. Speaking of shows, The Rosedales are playing two shows in the month of January. The first is on Saturday, January 28th at Penny Road Pub in Barrington, IL. We are opening the night for Supermercado and The Pimps. Three days later, The Rosedales are headlining the world famous Double Door in Chicago, IL. It is a free show and tickets will be posted soon.

On December 4th 2005 AD, Mark Danger from The Rosedales and Daniel Deuce from Dies Mali will be spining the devils music at the legendary Exit in Chicago, IL. Doors at 9:00 and cover is free. It is almost that time of the year, Halloween, and The Rosedales have a few treats for you! We are playing a couple shows next month, one local and one out of state in Columbus, OH. So make sure to try and catch one of these shows. If any of you have been to our last couple shows you might have noticed we played a couple new songs in our set. We are starting to introduce some new ones into our shows to get some crowd reaction. Well the response has been awesome. So we are back in the studio recording our new album! We are thrilled to be back recording at Chicago Recording Company with Sean Sutton in downtown Chicago. We have some great material on this next album that we are excited to release. So with that, the Rosedales have decided to release a NEW song for Halloween! We will be releasing a new single called, "Nightgown". This song will be featured on our next album, but due to popular demand from our fans we have decided to release a song early. We did this last time with "Nocturna" a couple years ago before our last album came out. So stay tuned to the site for release dates and times. This is one of those songs that will put some hair on your chest..literally. "Nightgown" might be also featured on a couple compilations in the very near future. Finally the new video for "It's Midnight" is complete. You can download it under the Media section or go the www.myspace.com/therosedales. It is a large file but well worth it. We're back! After a long needed break, The Rosedales are back and stronger than ever. First and foremost, we redesigned the site. Thanks goes to Justin at FNA for helping us out. Also, the video is done. Look for it to be posted shortly.
Unless something else comes up between now and October 7th, our next show is at the Penny Road Pub on Saturday, October 8th. We will be sharing the stage with Funky Monks and Stone Velvet Roses.
